WP Twitter Cards allows webmasters to configure general Twitter meta data, used by Twitter when tweets about a site are being published.

This can be done for the entire site from a special page in the 'Settings' option in the backend, or via a meta box added to posts and pages, where the general options can be over-written.

Why is this necessary? Because Twitter will use these details (title, description, author @nickname) to give attribution or embed additional details about a link when possible.

Installation:

Unpack and upload it to the /wp-content/plugins/ directory.
Activate the plugin through the 'Plugins' menu in WordPress.
